I was glad to run in Caerdydd on a sunny day after all the snow and ice had finally melted away. The surface was very heavy and I'm far from fit (partly because I've been trudging through snow for the past two weeks). I wasn't lapped by Andy Vernon and Tom R. who were first and second respectively, but I was too far behind to see how they were getting on.

I didn't start very quickly, although Nat went past after the first lap (as used to happen every Gwent League when I was faster), I lost another place to the lad from Guernsey, and picked one up at the same time, but basically I trudged round for three laps, trudged faster on the last lap, but it made little difference to the gaps either side of me.

Mick O'D and Julian were well away in the Masters race, and given the age difference it was fairly inevitable that Julian would win, but Mick's approaching 50 and looks in good form. ...and on the vets front Mel tells me the BMAF 10K is going to be at Wolverhampton - in September.
