I finished second in 15.39 in this month's Bridge Inn, Michael Johnson won in 14.54, which is one of the fastest times on that course.

I started fairly steadily behind Mike, and was just behind him for about 2K, but Mike is going well, and he powered away in the second half of the race. I wasn't feeling very well and got left on my own as Gary and Greg Helliwell were a little way back. In the end I was surprised that I managed 15.39, I thought I would be slower.

It was good to meet Robert Goutcher as we get a team together for the masters relay, and Gary has heard that Martin H. was running on the track.

..the real reason why we went to the race was to get Dave to take my old disco speakers with him so we can at Dave and Helen's party, but it was a very enjoyable evening and I can see why people get along there for a chat every month.
