I won the annual office run, without too much drama, but most sites would have been pleased with the quality of the field. In the end my time of 22.22 was 22 secs slower than last year, but I've got the Bristol Half at the weekend in my mind, and there is a section around the rugby pitches which runs faster or slower between years.

Rick came along to provide running advice, and kindly gave everybody a gel and drink powder, I'm sure there'll be a few Woodites heading for Rick and Nick's shop over the coming months.

This year's race doubled as a fund raiser for a Memorial sculpture that the establishment padre is organising, and it certainly caught the imagination of the staff, at 12.30 when the race was due to start there was a long line of people paying in their entry fee and sponsorship money. The only downside for the organisers was that they were standing outside much longer while the large field completed the course.

...anyway I'm hopeful that I won't feel too stiff tomorrow morning, and in reasonable shape on Sunday.
