Just as we're thinking about a nice trip down to Weston the Met Office are warning of storms on Sunday morning. Let's hope the storms arrive a little late and the conditions during the race aren't too bad. It's two weeks since Leeds now, and perhaps I over did it a bit, perhaps I've just been a bit ill, as can happen during the winter, but I've not really been going well, and haven't completed any "quality" training to speak of. I'm never really happy in the rain and hopefully I'll get things together a bit before the county XC next weekend, but Weston is the immediate problem. It would be good to have a solid confidence building run on Sunday, but I suspect it will be a struggle all the way round. ...still I'm glad we didn't go down to the 5 miler at Portsmouth last weekend - I have distant memories of extremely windy conditions on that coastal course even when it wasn't really windy weather - don't read too much into the times some of those athletes are quicker than that!!
