I haven't really been feeling very well over the last few days, just a little dodgy "tummy upset" as they say - almost as if I've eaten something odd.... and then yesterday the fridge stopped working. The lights were still on, it still made a noise but it wasn't cold inside. A man came to look at it, and diagnosed a blown compressor - not that I'm really interested, basically it's broken down and we need a new one - and as it's only lasted just over a year it will be from a different manufacturer, a new one is scheduled to arrive on Monday. It's possible that the temeprature inside the fridge was slowly rising over the past week or so - but not dramatically at once, which would have been more noticeable. ...anyway I feel a lot happier now, blaming not feeling well on the fridge, and hoping that I will be feeling better next week. In the meantime the first race in the South West XC league - which is combined with the Westward League fixture at Exeter - takes place on Sunday. I've got an open mind on whether I'll be fit and well for this one, as the outlook looks better I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't go very well.
