My new found enthusiasm inspired me to put just about everything into training last night. Towards the end I was just about full out - and still quite away behind Rob. I felt ill afterwards, but I reckon I should be more or less back to normal tomorrow morning, leaving a few days before the Gwent / County Champs at Blaise.

...and there's no room for complacency, reading Alf's blog Steve Male was 25 seconds ahead of Mike over 5 miles, the masters categories must be getting more competitive. I'm not quite sure what the implications of the county being combined with the Gwent are - I'll probably need a good run to finish in the top 10 of the county - last season, with a large slice of  luck, I finished 2nd.

At least there aren't too many races after Saturday, the next true race is Clevedon as the Downs handicap is the same day as the Wyvern Cracker 10K- and nobody's got the heart (or the courage to own up to Mike) to miss the handicap.
