It was a close thing at the end of the race at the Bridge Inn tonight, I just about hung on to win, from junior Dan Mullet (Mick O'D's son) in 15.48. All in all that isn't too bad, it's slower than I have run on that course, but it's still only a few weeks since the marathon.

The first kilometer was fairly fast, and I was ten yards ahead at the half way point, but the marathon miles take their toll, and I guess I hoped to run a little faster.

Sian won the women's race in around 18.00 a few yards ahead of Helen Fines. Lisa Newing wasn't far behind.

...so Wednesday morning, it's another day, another race, at Abbey Wood at lunchtime, and time for even more reflection about race distances and training. At least I have got a race programme to get me to Falkirk, after today it's Victoria Park at the weekend, Civil Service Cross Country on Wednesday and possibly a Gwent the next weekend. After that I'm not sure, I still feel the best approach would be to get to London, have a break and build for M45 - perhaps.
