It is a little surprising, but I feel much better after Saturday's run out in the relays and a gentle ten mile on Sunday. I estimate I am back to 95% and it is only 8 days on from Cardiff.

Today I managed a run at lunchtime and 4 miles with Sian after work, and although I've got quite a few minor twinges in my legs still it's all going well. ..so it is time for reflection, and my next challenge is the Masters Cross Country. After that I need a training programme for London, fitted around the races I want/feel obliged to run, and then it should be possible to fit in another marathon in December or January. I've downloaded Mike Gratton's training plan, which is great, as it seems to have sessions on Tuesday and Thursday, which is the way Mike Down works.

Houston turns out to be in January, it has got to be a possibility, there would be more time to prepare, and there would still be plenty of time before London.

...well I'll have to see how it works out - for the moment it's time to get the cycle lights ready for winter and get used to running in the rain and dark again.
